I didn’t know about that shortcut, thanks. I do often use my iPad without an external keyboard; a sidebar would still be helpful there. Even with a mouse and keyboard though, a sidebar that highlights what section the cursor is in would be very useful when working with long documents. It would also be handy for quickly rearranging sections without entering the modal arrange view.

+1 more. The tip for headers navigation was greatly appreciated! It was actually command-\ for me (Mac Studio) for some reason. Really looking forward to being able to collapse sections though.

Keep this alive, on the 4th of July, in 2025! As a heavy Obsidian/Notion user, collapsible text would be super high priority change for me. Callouts as well!!!
Hopefully it’s a popular enough request that we could see it sometime in the next year or so.
It’s been a very long time since this post, unfortunate. Doesn’t look like it’ll ever happen.

I’ve been using FoldNotes (https://foldnotes.io/) for a couple of months now and, as the name suggests, it has the ability to fold text at header and other levels, in addition to other features. It uses iCloud sync with individual markdown files, so it is easy to export to from Drafts.
Of course, it isn’t a replacement for Drafts.
Still in beta on Mac, and it has a very responsive developer. I have no relationship with the developer beyond being a content user.
