I’m currently doing some significant amount of work on Drafts’ Widgets for the OS 27 update.
Much of this work is infrastructure, not as much user-facing, as I’m updating the underlying architecture from the original WidgetKit formats to the modern App Intent-based ones…but, its a good time to evaluate functionality as well.
Any of you have thoughts on what’s missing in the current widgets? Things that could be improved, etc.
I would like to have a grid widget that shows shortcuts to four or eight different drafts to open them quickly
That will be possible. The updated Grid widget will support assigning a draft to a grid item.
Is it possible to have an option that shows the contents of the top note in a workspace? This is similar to Apple Notes.
That has been an option for some time. Use a “List” widget configured for that workspace, and configure the display mode to “Single Draft”
