UUID format 8-4-4-4-12

Is UUID guaranteed to always be 8-4-4-4-12? I assume you’re sticking to the standard UUID/GUID format on purpose?

For the most part, UUIDs are generated using Apple’s UUID functions.

Not sure I would say they are something you should be thinking about the format of…can I ask for what purpose you want to know?

I’m adding them to image file names to make sure images get associated to the correct drafts and I just wanted to make sure my regex was sound in perpetuity.

Yea, should be pretty safe to depend on.
