A few updates ago, checkboxes created using the markdown syntax mode became unreliable, especially when toggling them with a mouse. This issue has persisted through several updates. Would you like me to record a screencast?
Recordings, screenshots, and step by step guidance on how to reproduce are always useful.
At the moment, “unreliable” doesn’t really tell us what it is. Do they move, do they stop being clickable, do they disappear, do they randomly switch value without being touched, etc.
You probably also want to note what device/OS/Drafts versions you are seeing this on.
It doesn’t work 90% of the cases (until I switch to another draft and back). It’s glitching. Not being checked, or checked and then returning back to previous state when I click somewhere else.
I’ll try to record a cast.
MacOS 15.7.4, Drafts always latest (issue prevails for at least three updates already).
Can anybody confirm that checkbox glitching (todo list) is present on MacOS?
They are working fine for me on latest version of Drafts, but I am on Sequoia (15.7.5), though, should that be material.
And which syntax do you use? “Markdown”?
Here is another screen record where is it even more obvious. Latest version of Drafts. MacOS Sequoia 15.7.5
This list in “Markdown” syntax has 89 lines. Could it be that the issue is simply with very long todo lists?
MArkdown or Simple List. Both work fine.
Have you tried longer lists? More than 100 rows?
Hello @agiletortoise, can you please take a look at the video above? Thanks
Just made a 100-row list and I can see the artefacts as per your video when checking unchecking. I wouldn’t normally have a list this long.
You don’t have to mention me, I see stuff here…I don’t always reply or reply immediately because I haven’t had a chance to research an issue. I will review.
Let me know if this is any better in the latest update. I made some tweaks.
