To be able to choose the font size when a document is printed

The problem is that no matter what point size I set when writing text, it comes out at a large font size when I print it.

When I say ‘large font size’, I mean beyond what would normally see on a printed page if one were to want to send a letter or a note to someone.

What I end up doing is copying into TextEdit or Word and printing from there.

I read the Q&A at Printing - Matching/Approximating Point Size - #4 by bendelaney but the suggestions are beyond my abilities.

The feature I am requesting is to be able to choose the font size when a document is printed.

Use print actions rather than the “File > Print” command. When printing as plain text, the font size is configurable in actions.

You should have an example print action in the default “Basic” action group, if not you can install it from the directory. After install, Edit the action (right-click on it in the list), and set the font size you desire.
