Anyone else slightly bemused that after adding the Textexpander beta to TestFlight in Aug 2022, it still hasn’t emerged to production in May 2023? That’s c.9 months.
I checked in with them recently. The development of the replacement keyboard didn’t go as smoothly as they had hoped due to limitations with those APIs on iOS.
Thanks for the info. So is this beta-route going to be ditched then?
I can’t speak for TextExpander. Just know it’s delayed at very least. I think think the SDK is going away either way.

I’m another TE-and-Drafts user that is looking for a way to keep using my snippets with Drafts.
I currently have installed on my device TE v4 for iOS - which so far was allowing me to update the snippets in Drafts and other TE-SDK enabled apps.
BUT the keyboard that ships with that is not an option (see below for how it looks).
Given the mention of an updated TE iOS (Beta) app, that I’ll be trying but I have a couple of questions:
- Do you know if this app will accept v5 snippets, or do I have to update/upgrade to TE “latest” (ie cloud service) to use it?
- Is the keyboard at least “workable”?
