Hi there, I am coming back to Drafts after years to write a some books. I am using a 13 inch M4 iPad Pro. I have iOS 26 and the most recent update on the App Store for Drafts. I am using. A Magic Keyboard. I was trying to get started on my writing and ran into some strange issues:
For some reason when I am in a document, with my magic keyboard connected, and I try to highlight a word and right click on it with the trackpad, it freezes and then crashes. I can right click on documents when I go to my document view, but for some reason while in a note it crashes. This has also crashed the entire iPad.
Another strange thing that happened is I had a movie playing in picture and picture mode on the bottom right of my screen. But when I went into Drafts full screen, it stopped my playback. It crashed Safari for me too.
Is anybody else running into these issues? Am I doing something wrong here?
Would greatly appreciate any help
Update 1: I did a reset of the iPad and it temporarily worked to right click on words. But then I tried to do picture and picture mode with the movie I was watching and it went back and crashed my iPad.
Update 2: Oh and I am using Stage Manager while these bugs happen. In case that is helpful.
Update 3: Also, this is not happening with any other app, so it does not appear to be an iOS 26 issue.
Hey there, I’m sorry but I found a new issue. This time, not really sure what im doing that is causing the freeze. But I am working on a document that has a bullet point, and when I try to get rid of it or edit the space beneath, it freezes the app. Sometimes I can still leave the document itself and sometimes I cannot. I’d be happy to upload a video if you want. I was trying to recreate it the issue and this time it seemed to trigger when I slide to show my drafts. I can try to upload a screen recording if you want.
I am happy to report that hiding the toolbar with the magic keyboard did solve the other issue!
