[Solved] Command + Backspace shouldn't send a draft to trash

Edit: This is solved. Turns out I had assigned a keyboard shortcut for this years ago. My bad

Hey Drafts community. I am a long time user of Drafts and I really love it. I have probably used it somewhere close to 10 years yet this is my first post here.

My problem is this, I have recently started using Command + Backspace and Option + Backspace for faster deleting what I want to delete. In most other editors on the Mac, command and backpace deletes the line and option plus backspace deletes a word. Option + backspace works great but command + backspace sends the draft note to trash, which is not what I want.

The weird part is that if I look in the menubar File →Move to Trash. Then it’s Option + Shift + Command + Backspace. Anyone else run into this and have a fix?

That is not standard behavior. I would guess you have an action which moves drafts to the trash and it assigned the ⌘-backspace keyboard shortcut, thus override the default behavior.

Browse through your “Actions” menu and look for the conflicting assignment and remove it and you should be fine.

Thank you for the quick reply. I feel so stupid now, but I found the reason it’s doing it. I had assigned that keyboard shortcut… I’m sorry…:see_no_evil_monkey:
