Is there a way to display both creation and modification dates in the preview?
And even in the draft, without having to click on (i)?
There is not, currently. It displays one or the other based on the current sort order.

you could create a custom preview action which moidifes the content of your draft and adds those dates to the draft if you need it. but it wont prevent a tap (in this case not the (i) but an action…
