It would be handy to have a new preview step, much like HTML preview, that takes plaintext. It would mimic the current appearance settings like theme, syntax highlighting, font, size, etc. I have some actions that modify text and this would be useful to verify the results before changing the draft.
If it is just to preview actions I have a couple of suggestions,
- Duplicate the original draft and run the action on that.
- Force a save of the draft and make use of the version history to restore after a bad action run?
