Can you paste as plain text into drafts as the default? If no - can you quickly change your text to plain text? My thanks!
Drafts does paste as plain text.
The only exception to this is if you have HTML in your clipboard (like you copied from a web page or some other app that puts an HTML version of the text in the clipboard), in which case the default behavior is to convert the HTML to Markdown. You can disable this behavior in Settings > HTML, see relevant docs for details.
You can also use “Paste as Plain Text” in the edit menu on Mac, or use Paste as Plain Text actions to override this behavior on demand.
