One feature I miss in Drafts for Mac is the ability to paste vertically or to paste a column. For instance in BBEdit it is possible to paste a column, which is very useful if I want to prepend every line with a certain character for instance.

Column would be, say, characters 5-14 on each line?
Or are you thinking of something more structured such as the 5th cell in each line of a CSV?

I’m sure that would be doable. What might be cumbersome is the UI for determining where to insert or where to overwrite (and which).
But it would be javascript.
(Which I’m not afraid of, having just come up for air from writing some.)
