I used to be able to open links of this format directly from within Drafts, but now I get this message. If I go to the “Files and Folders” permission pane in System Settings, there isn’t a way to manually add an app that hasn’t requested permission. Any ideas?

What is “this message” - I think you meant to attach something?
I just tried with a few example file:/// URLs here and they seemed to work as expected here, revealing the file in Finder.
The message was that Drafts didn’t have access to files and folders. But I updated last night to Sonoma 14.1 Beta 2 and it fixed it.
