List widget behavior and widget size

Hi all! Searched the archives but didn’t see discussion of this. Hope it isn’t tread ground!

By my eye, the List widget type doesn’t have the same behavior across Small/Medium/Large sizes. I’m guessing this is an artifact of how Small widgets used to have fewer capabilities on iOS, namely only one touch target. But now that restriction is gone. (I love the small grid widget, personally.)

The Medium and Large List widgets are lists showing the last 4+ drafts in a workspace or the Inbox.
However, the Small one instead shows a preview of the contents of the first draft. What I would appreciate is for the Small List widget to show the same information as the Medium List widget, though of course horizontally truncated.

That said, I don’t think you should remove the existing behavior of the existing Small List widget, as I can easily see its utility. In fact, in searching for others asking about this, I found a topic by someone looking for essentially the opposite of my request: a Large widget that behaves like the Small List. So it seems like there’s room for all three sizes with both behaviors: A Small List that matches Medium and Large, and new Medium and Large widgets that show the contents of the most recent item in the Inbox or Workspace.

Do let me know if I’m making sense. I’ve had a lot of fun the last couple months making custom actions for myself (which I may end up sharing), but display of the content (or titles, in this case) of drafts on the home screen is something I haven’t been able to emulate.

That’s worth revisiting, yes. Still kind of tiny for that use case, but I can see it.
