Links (new user)

Completely new to Drafts (47.2 on macOS 15.6).

I have MarkDown as my default text.

But is it possible to get URLs to appear as fully embedded links and so like this and not [like this]( https://forums.getdrafts.com/top?period=yearly\\), please?

TIA…!

Only if you apply a preview. Not inline while editing. That is how Markdown looks. Some editors will hide Markdown markup from, you while editing as a hybrid of editing and preview. Drafts is not one of those apps.

‘If you find that cluttered, consider using Markdowns reference style links where you place the actual resource address at the end of the document and you reference it by ID within the document.

Hope that helps.

Stephen, very many thanks. Yes, it helps.

As I say, new to Drafts; so your patience greatly appreciated. I see that I have to File > Show Preview - into a separate window, Yes?

Or - is there a text format in Drafts which does what I want? Honestly, for my notes so far in the app, I don’t think I really need (such) formatting!

On iPad and Mac, where multiple windows are support, you can open a separate preview window, which is updated with the HTML rendering of the Markdown as you make changes.

On iPhone (or also the other platforms) you can use preview actions, which display the rendering.

Many thanks @agiletortoise !

I can see how that works. I’m sure it’ll do the job.

Thanks so much for Drafts! Why didn’t I get it sooner

Good luck…
