I’m trying to create an iOS shortcut and when I use the “Creat Draft” action, I can’t add a tag. When I do, as I type letters after about a second it clears anything I’ve typed.
Shortcuts bug. Been there at least since iOS 26 shipped. Doesn’t just affect Drafts, but any action that has parameters that are a list of string values.
The only workaround I know is to first create a “Text” action before the “Create Draft” action, and assign it the tag you want to use – then in “Create Draft” action tag, “Select Variable” for the value and select that “Text” item.
Tried that, it does the same thing with the variable - there for a second and then gone.

Do you have a Mac to edit the Shortcut? I believe it works on Mac, if you pause after typing the tag but before leaving the field
