Insert double quote from action

Hi,

Draft version 5.6.1.4 (iPad Pro)

From a long time I’ve successfully wrapped selected text with an action:

<span style="background-color:yellow"> SELECTED TEXT </span>

In this version, it appears that the double quote (hex 22) translates to something look alike, but not allowing the markdown render to get it right.

The double quote is inserted as hex: e2 80 9c

I’ve tried a number of things in the action - not luck. Only one way will solve the problem:

replace the wrongly quotes in the editor

Do you have the smart quotes option enabled in your Markdown processing options?

If so does setting it off make any difference?

This appears to be a bug. It’s actually an iOS bug, but triggered by a change to editor scripting in the last update. Will fix in the next release.

Smart qoutes is ON. No difference setting it OFF
