How to update a draft (prepend) within drafts

I’m trying to log my work hours. I need a simple way to open drafts, type what I’m doing and have a draft of today created or prepended (keeping the title)

So the draft looks something like this:

# 20191101, Fri
13:00: lunch
11:00: Project B
09:40: Project X

Do you have any scripting experience? The Add to List example might be a good starting point for an action like you describe. It does somewhat similar things, taking a draft and adding it to another existing draft (or creates the draft if it does not exist).
