Hi there,
I am using an action I made on my old macbook that simply takes drafts, and created a .txt file in a folder that I use to store old text documents and then I access these through nvalt.
On my old computer this always worked with no issues, title as given, slashes etc included. But on my new 2022 M2 it is taking any slashes in the titles and turning them into folders, and subfolders, etc…
Not sure if this is a drafts issue or a macos issue, anybody have any suggestions to fix?
A forward slash /
is a path separator character, so if you are constructing a path that contains one, it will be treated as a separator in most cases. That’s not something that has changed, or would be different on an M2.
If you share the action as you have it configured, I could explain in more detail how to avoid this problem. If you are using templates, there is a [[safe_title]]
(docs) tag specifically to provide a file name safe version that escapes punctuation that is not valid in file names.
