Is there a way to make “Show Search” the default behavior?
Something I use all the time - the friction of having to enable it each time is diruptive to the work flow.
Do you quit Drafts often? It should at least be sticky as long as the app is running.
I’m surprise it’s not remembering that across restarts of the app, however. I’ll review and fix that.
Never disappears for me 
I don’t close the app frequently, but it’s always disruptive when I have to re-enable it. In keeping with Drafts’ ethos of “open and start typing instantly,” ideally it would be visible persistently—if not by default, at least as an option. This would eliminate extra clicks.
