I was taking notes quickly (hence lots of typos) and I encountered a strange problem. Near the bottom of the text pane, close to the keyboard, the cursor jumped to the line below.
When I moved the insert position, text appeared on the line above.
I had to swap to a different app…
Hoping it is just a 26.4.3 glitch. Screenshot shows the problem — I found it easy to replicate.

Did you enabled the modern editor mode in Editor Settings > Advanced, or are you using the legacy editor?
Either way, does switching to the other mode (and restarting app) change this for you?
I had the same behaviour on the iPad, on several iOS 26 versions, with keyboard attached. Modern editor. I switched to the classic editor and did not see it again, but admittedly I haven’t written much since.
