Drafts and Devonthink4

I have chosen Drafts as my note taking app primarily because of two reasons.

First, I use the hell out of the Drafts watch app. I’m a consulting engineer and as I walk through a project, I am constantly talking to my watch to document the project.

Second, its my understanding that Drafts uses plain text for it’s file storage. This leads me to my question. My whole business revolves around Devonthink. My goal is for my note-taking system to be indexed by DT. This way, 100% of my business info would be searchable in DT.

So my question is, where/how are the Drafts notes stored?

Thanks in advance.

“Drafts isn’t storing content in a file structure, but in a database, so there is an entirely different paradigm to managing drafts to managing files.”

I hadn’t thought about the workflow you are using. I sometimes consult on environmental projects under litigation etc. (not a lawyer, environmental scientist). This gives me an excuse to get a newer Apple Watch since mine is about 4 years old and I don’t trust its batter life. I would also like to know how one could use Drafts and DT in that way.

I’m late to the party, but the way I handle it is with an action that I use to archive drafts. When it archives the draft, the action also appends it to a log file in a folder used only for that purpose. New log file each month. (I think the action creates the new file each month. I haven’t looked at how the action works in a long time.) The folder with the log file is indexed in Devonthink so searchable.
