Hi,
I created some actions for Drafts to use for building a yacht sailing logbook and wondered if others might be interested in them or had similar ideas.
The approach is simple - one line of text per action entry. A standard layout/tagging to support easy export etc. Automatically capture data where possible or a dialogue box for input.
I currently have the following actions -
- create a new logbook - automatically titled with date and time stamp
- capture check-on/check-off info - engine hours, fuel and water levels, battery level, fender count, cleanliness and damage report
- capture a position log - automatically accesses longitude/latitude
- capture course and speed plus position
- capture a bearing
- export waypoints as gpx file to import into charting apps
I’m looking into getting tides and weather forecast as well - everything you’d need to make a passage plan - but sourcing Met Office forecast info in the UK isn’t straightforward - API keys etc
