No extra spaces in any of the other variables either…
I tried a test where I have more than 500 characters in a draft and ran the “show character limit” action. I get a pop up that says “NAN characters remaining”. So it does appear I’ve got an issue with that number not coming through in the scripts. Not sure what else to check to sort this out…
I think you inadvertently edited the name of the tag. In the fresh install of that action group, it is named character_limits (note the plural) not character_limit as in your screenshot. Fix that and I think you’ll be good.

Ah! Thank you! That solved the problem. Not sure how that got changed…but it’s working now!!
