Cursor disappears as soon as I start typing

When I’m editing a draft and click in the draft window, I see the flashing cursor. But as soon as I start typing, it disappears and won’t be visible until I again click in the draft.

I’ve looked through the Settings, but for the life of me couldn’t find anything related to this. So please excuse me if it’s something silly I’ve missed.

I’m using Drafts 51.0.2 (770) on macOS 26.4

Still there with v51.0.3?

Are you using the Modern editor mode, and if so, does this go away reverting to legacy mode (Editor Settings > Advanced)

Toggling the advanced editor option off, then back on again, seems to have fixed this. Thanks.

I’ve had this problem for a while now as well. I will try to toggle the advanced editor option off.

Drafts v53, MacOS 26.6.

I had wondered if the problem is related the app Cotypist running in the background. (It guesses what you might want to type next.)

I’m sharing not because I expect an answer, but to get a record of the problem for all of us in the future.
