Create text file on iCloud Drive outside of the Drafts folder

This seems really basic, but I cant seem to create or append to a text file that is in a sub folder of my 1Writer iCloud folder.

/1Writer/Notes

Or outside of the Drafts folder, for that matter.

Is it possible? Am I simple?

Because of Apple’s sand boxing, it’s not possible with Drafts’ file action.

But there are ways around this. You could:

  1. Use 1Writer’s URL scheme to create or append to a file in 1Writer’s iCloud folder.

  2. Use Scriptable’s ability to use file/directory bookmarks to write a script that accesses 1Writer’s iCloud folder.

The first option is probably the easiest.
