Add to Obsidian Daily Note Plus

I’ve come to rely on the Add to Daily Note action that @agiletortoise created a lot. But I liked the idea of each entry having a date and time stamp so I knew when and where I wrote the update.

So I made this modification of the original add to daily note action to append a time stamp as a markdown header to the draft, and prepend an Apple Maps url with the lat long coordinates of the draft’s creation.

The nice thing is the url is human readable and easily computer particle, so if I ever want to switch to another mapping service of some sort I can do a fancy find and replace across my vault. But since the Apple Maps url works in any web browser, it should be a fairly resilient way to get to the location.

nice work there! I created some related action which might also help you to use Drafts with Obsidian:
