Hi. I want to be able to start capturing text into Drafts after pressing the action button. I found TIP: Make your Apple Watch Ultra Action Button open Drafts , which works, but there is a problem: it accepts by default text in English, what if I want to have a different languages ā can it automatically detects words Iām saying in different language?
is there a workaround for this?

Apple Watch can not auto-detect language for dictation. Dictation will always open to the default language selected on the device.
You can, however, long press the dictation screen, and then choose language. Any languages you have enabled on your device will be available.
You might consider a more advanced, third-party dictation app if you have those requirements. For example, a lot of people use Whisper Memo and have it configured to email the transcription your their Drafts Mail Drop address.
Yeah, I know about the long press, but my workflow is usually this: I get a brief moment while walking my dogs, and somewhere between now and the instant a squirrel appears, I have a small window to record a note to myself.
