Search seems to require a minimum string of three characters, and entirely ignores any number of punctuation characters. For instance, it seems to be impossible to filter/search on a single hash character. Is this intentional?
I think there are a few minor issues with punctuation queries. I’ve got that on my list to review. You can avoid them by forcing an exact phrase search with quotations, like "#".
