Native MacOS text replacements does not work in the main drafts window

Native MacOS text replacements does not work in the main drafts window.
Instead, it works perfectly in the quick add window:

[agiletortoise]

Not a known issue. I use them in the main window all the time. I’ve seen them be flaky in-general - have you tried a reboot? Are they working in other apps?
