Existing Actions Updates

Just curious, is there a way to push an update to an already published action by someone else? Reason I ask is because yesterday I published an updated version of “Send to Telegram” which the existing one has been out for a few years and no longer works because the URL scheme changed; so I published the new one but as you can imagine, this may cause duplicates/clog up the actions directory.

Just thinking out loud – wondering if there is something we can do to help keep things updated and neat.

If you are the publisher of the action, you have complete control. You can push updates (including update notes) to the directory, or remove items. It’s all in the same place, you just have to be working with the same action you originally pushed.

If you push an update, it will be available to install as an update for people that have installed the action. This is completely passive, however, as I don’t want to stomp on any changes a user might have made.

Gotcha – I thought so, I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a way other users can keep things updated, or flag an existing action for updates.

If someone else has created an action, then there is a chance they may also be registered on this forum.

If they are flagged as a trusted member’s action on the directory with a white tick green sticker(?), then you are very likely to be able to reach out on the forum and get a response if you @ mention them.
