SearchLink is “a System Service for OS X which handles searching multiple sources and automatically generating Markdown links for text.” For instance, you can type a search term, run the search and it will pull the first hit and link to it.
I would love to have even a simplified version of this for use in Drafts if someone has the coding chops to adapt it, or implement something similar. Here is the source code:
