I am doing my first dip into Drafts actions, and am already confused. Here’s what I want to do:
I am a radio host, creating a show outline within a template every week.
The template includes also the section for synopsis of the show.
so, here goes:
- Get just the synopsis from the big show outline draft. The part to get will be always be marked with a heading defined in the template and will be the last thing in the draft.like ## synopsis
- Email it to a predefined address with subject of the outline (show name and date, and body as the synopsis. . That seems easy enough to me.
- Copy the synopsis into clipboard. Also a nobrainer.
Question: how could I have drafts work only with the content after the “synopsis” heading? Or do I need to create a new draft after manually highlighting the synopsis and email that, then delete the draft with just synopsis?
If so, how is “create new draft” action made? I am unable to find anything close to this from drafts action steps list.
