At Drafts 54, when a Prompt is opened by an action, it slides up from the bottom of the window. Similarly, when it closes, it slides back down. These slides take time (maybe 200 or 300 milliseconds?), slowing things down and causing distraction. The slides occur even when the system accessibility setting Reduce Motion is turned on.
The effect is particularly noticeable when there are successive Prompts, with one replaced by the next, so there is a slide down then a slide up. You can see this by using Move Line Up repeatedly in the action I posted here.
This did not used to happen with Drafts 53. The box containing a Prompt just rapidly popped into existence with barely any visible motion, and vanished immediately when dismissed.
The change seems to be in Drafts itself, independent of the upgrade to iPadOS 27.
Could an option on the new Prompt() call be introduced to return to the Drafts 53 behaviour? Alternatively, could the behaviour please respect the system Reduce Motion setting?
