Additional Device Information for Device Identification

I’d like to request a couple of additional bits of device information to be added to the device object:.

  • The name of the device.
  • The model number.

For example on my iPad I would expect them to return the following:

  • Tome
  • 6,3

I currently have to use a Workflow workflow to get the device name and I haven’t found a way to get the latter just yet, but I do see TestFlight adding it into the data file under “Device Information > Device”.

These can be determined to broadly identify different devices.

However, if there was ultimately a device unique identifier that was accessible to, or could be generated by Drafts, then that would be even better. In the end I’d like to be able to carry out slightly different activities depending upon what device I was on without having to grab some device identifying information from elsewhere.
